Even the total success of 'liberating' Donbas from Ukrainian forces will not lead to a success of the 'war' - Ukraine will still be able to put up a counter-offensive.
No chance of achieving the current goals by June, and IF they are achieved at all, Ukraine has enough equipment and logistics to resist and deal significant damage to joint separatist/RF forces.
Russian High Command still sees no way out of this - simply because they don't have any.
Current 'successes' are only of tactical nature and contribute little to the progress of the 'true' war goals.
