2. TikTok is underrated.
The platform is free to use. No CPAs. No CPMs. Just pure creativity.
We recently built a waitlist of 25,000 people for a brand we launched, garnered 5m+ views, and put a company on a $6m+ ARR with $0 in ad spend.
Just start creating!

3. Be a brand, don't just sell products.
Modern consumers don't want to just buy products, they want to be a part of your brand.
They're buying into the story, not just function.
Here are 10 easy (mostly free) ways to build a brand as a new company:

4. Explain your "Why" at every touchpoint.
iOS 15 f'd things up because everyone was over-reliant on the FB pixel getting data back to know when/what it should show next.
The brands minimally impacted were those that consistently answered "Why does this brand deserve to exist?"

4. Explain your "Why" at every touchpoint. (pt. 2)
Hopefully, you've overcome the iOS 15 issues, but if not, incorporate your "Why" across:
• ad creative
• organic social posts
• emails/SMS
• affiliate/ambassador content
Consumers buy the WHY, not the WHAT.

5. Leverage alternative capital.
If your business is doing well, or you just raised capital, you have leverage!
Use tools like settle(.)co and @wayflyerapp to get non-dilutive capital.
Spend on ads, inventory, etc., and pay 2% interest with a 6-month payback. 🤑

6. Subscriptions are a journey.
You can't expect customers to subscribe on the first purchase.
Here's what I found to work best:
First purchase: Variety pack
Second purchase: Customer's favorite flavor/variant.
Third purchase: Customer subscribes to favorite variant.

7. Zero-party data is holy.
WTF is it?
Zero-party data = adjective
First-party data = noun
Zero-party data is it helps explain your first-party data even better.
Nik bought Essentia water in San Diego (first-party) because he plays tennis on a weekly basis (zero-party).

8. Use good technology
There's nothing worse than using technology that is ancient, outdated, or is just a big name because of how long it's been around.
This is what we use to launch companies with @SharmaBrands

9. Copywriting matters, a lot.
Good visual creative gets 90% of the attention, but copywriting can make all the difference.
