The first project is @mars_protocol
Mars will be a decentralized bank
They will enable money markets (borrowing and lending) for various different assets ( $LUNA, $UST, $ANC and more)
They'll also feature dynamic interest rates to adjust for market conditions

Users will be able to participate in collateralized borrowing

All of this will be governed by The Martian Council (people who stake their $MARS tokens to receive $xMARS)

Mars will be useful because even though we have a protocol that allows you to deposit collateral (bLUNA, bETH) and borrow UST against it (Anchor Borrow)...
We don't have a protocol that allows you to deposit UST and borrow a different asset against it

There will still be LTV ratios that you need to watch, but Mars will have different digital assets that can be used in the money markets and will have more options in general

Their lockdrop should go something like this,
For 14 days, users will be able to lock UST for a set period of time (1-52 weeks) in exchange for $MARS
(Users that lock their tokens for longer will receive more MARS)
After day 12, withdrawals will be disabled

The MARS gets distributed at the end of the lockdrop and all of the UST depositors will become "Red Bank Lenders"
This pretty much means that they'll receive xMARS (which accrues staking rewards) AS WELL as their lockdrop MARS
Lenders also get UST interest on locked UST

The next protocol I want to talk about is @kinetic_money
Kinetic will allow users to access their future yield in the present
They'll achieve this by letting users take loans against deposited collateral ( $UST)
The loans will be in Kinetic's $kUST token

$kUST will be a regular token that can be traded on exchanges (Astroport etc.)
Your deposited collateral will be deployed in high-yield strategies and since the initial max that you'll be able to borrow against yield bearing assets will be 50%, your loan can pay itself down
