The Quran
a revelation, not a fabrication.
A thread 🧵
(Responding to the assumption of “Muhammad got his information from existing scripture)
*16 examples to show how that’s impossible*
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
The Arabian peninsula wasn’t known for any books, then came the Quran, with its vast amount of information and it’s beautiful speech, a speech against Meccan paganism. The meccans were shocked after hearing it from one of their own, Muhammad ﷺ the grandson of Abd al-Muttalib
They knew Muhammed ﷺ for 40 years and now he’s reciting verses of revelation, a revelation that was revealed throughout 23 years, verses which was revealed in front of people, responding to what’s happening in front of them.
Existing scriptures the source of the Quran ?
Before we answer the question, we need to understand 2 things
1-the scriptures weren’t in Arabic at his time
2-Muhammad ﷺ was illiterate just like the majority of people
The Quran testified for his illiteracy & he didn’t know the placement of words on the parchment
When some orientalists look at the Quran, they impose a naturalistic explanation, whenever they see a familiar story they assume a source and so they build an imaginary library for muhammed ﷺ
Let’s start with the 16 examples
🔴 the Old Testament
Vs
🔵 the Quran
1. (The number of the children of Israel in the exodus)
2. (The generations of humanity between the Bible and the Quran)

🔵Quran 7:127

4. (The magicians of pharaoh and a crucifixion)
And because of that difference, People assumed it to be a historical mistake in the Quran. However after 1822 when the hieroglyphics were deciphered, we can see “crucifixion” in ancient Egypt in the time of Merenptah the son of Ramses

14. (The brothers speaking to Joseph regarding Benjamin)
15. (Joseph’s reunion with his family)

Keep in mind none of these arguments were made by the prophet Muhammad ﷺ himself or by his companions, because these information weren’t accessible to them.
This is the prophet’s reaction to the past scriptures.
The end.
