1. A journalist named Paroma Soni contacted me via Twitter. I was suspicious from the get go. And I was right. She wanted to do a phone interview for a story on the "Indian govt's weaponization of Twitter/social media to target journalists and activists". Here's how it went down.
2. At this point she should have backed off. But she kept thinking I'll come around.
3. She is still hoping to get an anti Modi quote from me.
4. Told her why I was doubtful. Because she had come with an agenda. This is called Supari Journalism - get someone, anyone, to say something nasty about India, Hindus, Modi, and then write a story to discredit their achievements. The idea is to make Modi look like a failure.
5.
6.
7. Had to tell her in no uncertain terms that she was a woke with an agenda. Plus the fact that she's writing for all the nasty leftist secular media - Scroll, Quint, Print, The Wire.
8. She was practically salivating for a quote. She's borderline antifa. Filled with deep hatred of Hindus.
9. Either her hatred has crossed all limits or she's plain dumb. Says upper caste Hindus showed more empathy with black George Floyd than Dalit Rohith Vemula. Bizarrely, she then blames Brahmins for the anti-Blackness and racism that has led to attacks on Blacks in the US.
10. Think about it - not slavery by American Whites, not the British, Spanish or Arabs who transported slaves, but a small Hindu community is responsible for racism against blacks in America. How low can these journalists go for a handful of dollars?
Ends
How self-contradicting and fucked up is she. Upper caste Indians are more empathetic towards a black man than an Indian. But upper caste Indians are also responsible for the racism in USA.
