Finally: YES, Russia is on a neutral position towards GERD issue for some special reasons and for the sake of its interests in the Horn of Africa, but at the same time it would not ever try to harm its major interests with Egypt or Sudan.
Also Russia would not give Ethiopia high-tech military hardware for two main reasons:
1) Ethiopia is unstable country, facing an armed civil conflict
2) Ethiopia can't afford the cost of such military equipment, also it has no capacity to accommodate it
