Among ‘charities’ popped to collect funds to #HelpIndiaBreathe was Muslim Aid. The ‘Charity’ had distinction of a convicted war criminal as its chairman– Chowdhury Mueen-Uddin, who killed 100s of Bengali intellectuals in 1971. (2/15)

Muslim Aid collected funds through at least 3 of fronts– the US, UK, & Australia. They all ran several fundraisers through social media as well as through the shady fundraising platform #LaunchGood apart from taking direct funds through websites. (3/15)

Driving the Covid Crisis Narrative:

A common pattern among all these fronts is that they use Pak version of map while depicting J&K & Leh, but switched to Indian version, while seeking donations from India & on behalf of India. Worth noting, International orgs. use global standards.(5/15)

Muslim Aid Australia engaged Dr. Bilal Philips for raising funds, who has been deported/banned from 6 countries including Australia, due to his terror links (Hamas & Taliban) & extremist views. Charities don't get better than this! (6/15)
Covid was not the 1st time these groups have collected money. They have mastered this a lucrative business model – just with help of a website & social media promotions keep collecting funds on every possible occasion from Kerala floods to Ramadan to Covid crisis. (7/15)

Muslim Aid fronts are marred in controversies & forced to change office-bearers. The UK Commission in 2015 had set up an inquiry on MA-UK for financial frauds in Sudan & Gambia offices. Likewise, MA-USA had been shuffling members despite being inactive for years. (9/15)
