Egypt's New Capital Egypt’s New Administrative Capital is a transformational enterprise that aims to establish a new growth hub for future generations. The city is being designed as a high-tech model for Egypt’s future.
The New Administrative Capital is a large-scale project of a new capital city in Egypt that has been under construction since 2015. Once complete, the city will cover 715 km2 (making it almost as large as Singapore), host 6.5 million inhabitants, and create 2 million jobs.
The Egyptian Government District in the New Administrative Capital. The New Government district will host all the headquarters of the Egyptian Government Ministries as well as the Cabinet, Parliament & Senate.
State Strategic Command Center Complex in the New Administrative Capital which includes the Egyptian army HQ & the Ministry of Defense. This is the largest defense headquarters and office building complex in the world surpassing The Pentagon in the United States of America.
The State Command Center is not only limited to the New Army HQ but also includes the Unified Strategic Data Center, Strategic Network Control Center, Emergency Services & Field Safety Control Center, Weather Forecast Center, Strategic Storage Facilities.
Egypt International Sports City in the New Capital. (Largest Olympic Games Hub in the Middle East) The New Sports City includes a stadium of 90k spectators capacity, indoor halls, shooting club, Olympic Complexes for squash, tennis, aquatic sports & equestrian & Medical Center.
The Gate Tower or the Round Tower is considered the most important and prominent feature of the New Administrative Capital, where the goal of the designed team was to create a tower that would be a distinctive and unique structural and architectural mark.
Its height is about 600 m, and its length is 1600 m. It will be one of the tallest towers in the world. It is located at the central park at the entrance to the city, facing east and west. The sun crosses from inside the ring to the city.
The Knowledge City in the New Capital The city will be a hub for high-tech & innovation as it will host a University for Information Technology, the first of its kind to be built in Egypt, Telecommunication & IT Institute, National Academy for Training persons with disabilities.
Central Business District The first phase of the project consists of 20 skyscrapers including the 386-meters tall Iconic tower, which will be the tallest in Africa and one of the tallest in the world upon its completion. The whole project is scheduled to be delivered by 2022.
The New Administrative Capital consists of 20 Residential districts (around half of them are being built within the 1st phase of the project) as the New Capital will house over 6.5 million people upon its completion. The attached photos are for the third Residential District R3.
The Fifth Residential District R5 in the New Administrative Capital, also known as the New Garden City, the new luxury district is being built in the old French architecture style on an area of 3.9 million m² and it includes up to 23k housing units.

The Arts & Culture City in the New Egyptian Capital, which is considered the largest in the Middle East region. The Arts & Culture city includes the New Opera House, Theatres, New Egyptian Capitals Museum, Arts Museum, Galleries, Cinemas, Open Theatre & a Library.
Oblisco Capitale: The tower’s architecture is inspired from both the Pharaonic and Art Deco styles. The proportions of the Oblisco Capitale Tower were emulated carefully from the original obelisk dimensions. These dimensions embody geometrical perfection and structural stability.
The Nile River is the second element of inspiration for our design; represented in the project via the canal that connects the corners of the land in the project. This water element will be the main means of mobility in the development.
The pattern visible on the tower’s facade is inspired from the lotus flower design used in the Pharaonic era. However, this design element is not just for decorative purposes, it also has an environmental concept behind it.
New Capital Religious Landmarks Nativity of Christ Cathedral, the biggest Cathedral in the Middle East. Misr Mosque & Egypt Islamic Cultural Center, One of the World's largest Mosques. Al-Fattah Al-Aleem Mosque, One of the Biggest Mosques in Egypt.
Misr Mosque & Egypt Islamic Cultural Center It has a capacity of 107k worshippers and includes an underground parking lot, shopping center, several spacious halls for celebrations, events & Quarn teaching schools. The New Mosque is distinctive with its 140-meters tall minarets.
The Green River, World's Largest Park The green river is a series of large-scale parks in the centre of the New Administrative Capital streches for around 25km long and covers an area of 6,200 acres. It will act as a connector between the modern and diverse urban neighborhoods.
Al-Masa Luxury Hotel & Resort in the New Administrative Capital It was the first project to be completed in the New Capital as it was inaugurated by Al-Sisi in Oct. 2017. It is considered as a hub for businessmen & investors as well as hosting official events, ceremonies.
The People's Square, the largest of its kind in the world. it will be destined for hosting official events & military parades. It consists of 3 main sectors, the square itself, Islamic cultural center & unknown soldier monument.
The People's Square will include two open-theatres, the tallest flagpole in the world, shopping centers & Unknown Soldier Monument which is built in a mix of Islamic/Pharaonic architecture style, and 84 round columns where the names of the martyrs will be written on each one.
Egypt New Administrative Capital International Airport The New Airport has a passenger terminal with a total capacity of 300 passengers per hour. The new small airport is mainly directed to serve the local flights, businessmen, investors & the first phase of the New Capital.
Egypt is also planning to build a New Huge International Airport near the New Administrative Capital. The New Airport will be the Biggest in Egypt as it will not only be limited to serve the New Capital but also the Suez Canal Axis, Galala New Resort City & Ain Sokhna.
Egypt Presidential Complex in the New Capital As all governmental institutions & ministries are moving to the New Capital, it was required to build a New ruling headquarters for Egypt there. The New Palace is being built in the (Pharaonic) Ancient Egyptian architectural style.
The New Administrative Capital offers its residents the top international universities with numerous fields of study. The Universities offer The best schooling experience with the most effective learning techniques. Besides, it provides unique programmes and courses.
The Expo City will be built in Modern Architecture Style and will be considered as the largest Exhibition Center in the Middle East. The Medical City will house dozens of hospitals for Global Healthcare Groups.
The Banks Area in the New Administrative Capital where all the headquarters of the state-affiliated financial institutions will be transferred there, as the HQ of the Central Bank of Egypt, National Postal Authority HQ, the Cash Center & Banknotes Printing Center.
The New Integrated Complex for Smart & Secure State Documents is being built south of the New Administrative Capital. The New Complex includes a 3G Data Center which receives and stores all data, information of the Egyptian state ministries, authorities & institutions.
The New Capital marks the foundation of a new Egypt that is modern and advanced given the infrastructure and public services revamping, and new cities, including fourth-generation ones being built all over Egypt.
The new capital is set to be inaugurated this year with a large ceremony. The ceremony will send a message at the beginning of the "New Republic."
