The energy powering the screen you’re reading this on has been on quite a journey.
Your body is powered by sunlight that arrived to the planet pretty recently, either in powering the plant you ate or the plant eaten by the animal you ate. But your phone is powered by 300 million year old sunlight (if you charged it with electricity from a fossil fuels plant).
Standing in the street corner, all I can think about now is that all of this - the walking people, the driving cars, the trees swaying in the wind, the water rolling by in the distance - are powered by the same star up above. Yay sun!
