After presenting copies of my letters to Minister Bourita @Marocdiplo_EN it was a singular honour to present my credentials on behalf of Canadaβs Governor General @GGJuliePayette to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, enacting one of the essential rites of diplomacy. 2/10
Very soon after, we were delighted to receive @FP_Champagne for a bilateral visit showcasing the breadth & depth of π¨π¦π²π¦ relations: the agenda included meetings with @ChefGov_ma, @Marocdiplo_EN, #youth and #women representatives. 3/10
My first 4 months in Morocco, untouched by #COVID19 (hamdullah!) were filled with face-to-face encounters with wonderful people in several parts of the country: #SoussMassa, #MiddleAtlas, #Fez, #Zagora, #Ouazarzate, #Marrakech & more 4/10
I have been especially inspired by those working for greater #equality and #rights for women and girls. I have been proud to support their #GenderEquality efforts on Canadaβs behalf through:
