Diet
-A soft diet is important TMD in order to allow jaw rest, this can prevent overloading of the TMJ and decrease muscular hyperactivity.
- The extent of soft diet time depending upon the severity of symptoms.
-food should be small pieces and not chewy, hard,or crunchy
foods

Pharmacotherapy
لابد أن يشرح للمريض ، أنو الأدوية شيء مساعد في طريقة العلاج بجانب البرنامج العلاجي الكامل وليست العلاج الوحيد.
ويجب ان يكون بالحسبان ان بعض الادوية تسبب الادمان او تتعارض مع الوضع الصحي للمريض.
الدراسات اثبتت ان العلاج المعطى في (طريقة ومده) ثابته يعطي نتائج افضل
لابد أن يشرح للمريض ، أنو الأدوية شيء مساعد في طريقة العلاج بجانب البرنامج العلاجي الكامل وليست العلاج الوحيد.

في السنوات الاخيرة اشتهرت ادوية COX-2 inhibitors
بس مشكلتنا معاها مرضى القلب تحديدا

أستخدامها كداوء لعلاج مفاصل الفك قليل وذلك بسبب عدم المقدرة على تجاوز أسبوع من استخدامها لاثارها الجانبية

Baclofen, a peripheral muscle relaxant, used in myofascial pain
Botulinum toxin has been used to treat severe bruxism,

masseter muscle and TMJ capsule may be reduced.

Local Anesthetics
injection posterior to tuberosity will anesthetize the lateral pterygoid muscles, which if in spasm, will allow maximal protrusion of the mandible without pain.
LA without vasoconstrictor should be used, because decrease blood flow may show muscular pain.

يهمنا فيها نعرف هذي التعليمات للمريض في المنزل
بالنسبة للكمادات الحارة يفضل تكون حرارته بين ٧٠-٨٨ ْ لمدة ١٥-٢- دقيقة، اما الباردة فيفضل عند الطبيب لاستخدامه الCryotherapy
هنالك طرق فيزيائية ايضا مذكورة بالجدول ولكن ليست دارجة جدا
يهمنا فيها نعرف هذي التعليمات للمريض في المنزل
